Warning Coil Sprung Rapists Lurking Iin Shropshire!
By: ferretjuggler Date: August 14, 2014, 7:25 am
---------------------------------------------------------
It's happened two days in a row now.
Off roader type boingies lurking outside my house.
Pretending to be on their phone or looking at a map.
It's pretty obvious that I'm doing something to my IIA, because
the rear tub is jacked up above the chassis.
It's also obvious that it's tax exempt, because you can see the
J registered plate quite clearly.
Make no mistake these are not folk who are also into old
leafers.
Plate Rapists
What they can't quite make out is if I'm restoring it or cutting
it up.
Maybe now the chassis is finally finished and painted they will
fuck off.
:wanker:

Surely if they're plate rapists it's an unchopped up (i.e. not
declared scrapped) one they need?

I think the idea is to jump in and buy a tax exempt vehicle in
very poor condition for as little as possible (with
the V5 etc)
Then you break it up
Sell all the parts on eBay and get back more than you paid for
it.
Thus generating a "free" tax exempt ID for fraudulent boingy
abuse.
I suppose that at least all those used parts come in useful to
someone.

Tax exempt boingies aren't exactly rare. What don't
understand is, how the hell do they get past the mot?

Put a roadworthy leafer in for the MOT wearing the bogus ID I
should think.
Have you considered that these things are being thrashed around
on classic insurance?
As far as the insurance company are concerned they are insuring
a (for example) 1966 Land Rover 88.
Fine until it hits something.

They could also be 3.14 lock-openers, casing out your house for
the best time to have away with your pride and joy. I'd be
investing in some security lights and maybe a big dog to be on
the safe side

The MOT isn't a stolen vehicle recovery scheme. The MOT
basically checks that a vehicle is screwed together right. We
don't check to see if it's been upgraded. We inspect the
complete thing, taking note of Legal requirements ref: VIN and
reg display (Tax exempt vehicles need not display a VIN for MOT
purposes) Yes, the original date of registration is displayed on
the test paperwork, but it makes no odds to us testers. That
only exists to help us decide which set of rules apply to said
vehicle.

I don't test ONLY Leaf srpung Land Rovers. I test all kinds of
Class 4 vehicles. Modifications aren't restricted to what we
drive. That's my official hat on.

Next time they're stalking your gaff, walk out with a camera /
phone . take photos of the bloke and his motor / reg no, then
tell the cunt to fuck off...( if he hasn't fled already, which I
suspect he will ! )
