Next on the list was to fit some forward facing seats with some
retractable seatbelts so the sprogs could be carried safely:
Fitted some seatbelts from a debender, the ones that are on a
bracket like this:

fitted those with the normal hardtop brackets, that were swapped
over. The theory being that a bolt would be pretty much
oblivious on the outside of the hardtop.
The female fittings were take from a 200tdi disco and were done
like this:

They are matched to the other half of the seatbelts, even if
they are striped. However I understand that some black ones
were made for Debenders, so will be on the lookout for some of
those.
I used the hook system as I thought it would be easier in the
long run, and would create a unobtrusive load area.
How I went about that was, I took some 3 mm plate and welded 2
nuts onto it, one for the big bolt (unknown thread) and an M6
one just to lock it off and stop it spinning. Like this:

Which when fitted looks like this:

Happy days :)
Seats now look like this folded down, and seat belts in use:

I think I'm happy with those!

Final thing to do was to make a 'false floor' in the load area,
for a number of reasons:
1) Somewhere to store stuff away from prying eyes
2) Somewhere to store stuff that doesn't bounce around
3) Somewhere to store stuff to keep away from dogs mouths
4) It flattens out the floor and makes it a tad easier for the
dogs (well that's the theory anyway)
It had to be secure when in use and easy to remove. I ended up
using some shelving railing and 18mm T&G, that way when you
removed it, it wouldn't take up too much space in the back of
the motor. The other thing is if any break, then a replacement
could be found quickly.
Just fitted:

Happy days, best go and do something else now!

Found the original service number plate in the loft earlier!

I originally found it behind the civilian number plate back in
1995 had it displayed for a while, then it ended up in the loft
