putting springs on

Hello
Does anyone know if the old leaf springs have a front and back
and if so how would I know.

No they don't, not in a given location anyway (I.e LH rear
spring can go either way, but can't go on the front or the RH)
but they are different left to right and front to back of the
vehicle

Older springs with bolted (not bent) leaf clamps need to have
the nuts inboard.

The difference is supposed to allow for the weight of the
driver, so I would imagine the drivers side would have a greater
curve.
