Cheers. They look good, and bigger than 7.50s.
I'm thinking of getting a set of one ton rims and trying to find
some tyres to fit. Bit bigger than 750 and 235/85.

I'd be interested to know where those offroad roads are? Is it
Italy or Switzerland? Do you have a map of the route you took?
Thanks
Ruud

Hi Ruud, I do have a rough route marked in out in a tatty euro
road map that is in bits somewhere in my garage, I did a shed
load of research before we went otherwise we would have never
have found some of the better stuff. Their is some great reading
on some of the Enduro riders websites and that is where I found
out about alot of the roads in Northen Italy which as you can
see are pretty epic. You could spend quite a few days exploring
the area around Sestriere although it looks like the Italians
are trying to restrict access to some of them at odd times in
the day, that said we drove roads that would never in a million
years be open for driving in Britain.
The one that stood out for us (and the pics and vid) is Mount
Jafferau which is not that long but really impressive (it the
one with the tunnels, the longest being 900m long), It starts
near a small village near the flat valley floor then just goes
up and up right to the very top of the mountain at about 2800m!
Our sat nav was a bit crap so we tried to find the start of the
roads just with the map and we did miss the start of one or two
because of this. We did search for one above a ski station in
some woods but just ended up on black ski run so had to turn
back, although it gave us one of the best places to camp that
night.
We did kind of stick to the route but only got about halfway
round it due to one road being shut for a cycle race and the
half a day detour plus a few mechanical problems and flats meant
we had to use the emergency alps exit that is the Mont Blanc
tunnel.
I have to say that taking mountain bikes opened up another
dimension to the steep decents involving the co-drivers of Team
Halifax, sharing the riding and driving to add to everyones
experience.
Hope any of this helps pal.

After a load of problems with the laptop and hard drive (been
trying to edit the Xmas do video for the last 4 months which may
never see the light of day :-\!) I have finally found the rest
of the Eurotrip pics so put them all in order in that there
bloody Photobucket. You might recognise one or two motors in
there somewhere-
