Hi to all! Just purchased a Series 3 2.25 diesel project after
an introduction through an unmentionable with a K series engine,
which was quite good in a car type way. Any :giddy:way now I'm
hooked. So given that I always take stuff apart before asking if
I should I thought should join and ask. Oh the project is half
stripped. Must ask next time. I will ask the "is my chassis
jiggered?" question later. Oh I just did.... Unleash the MIG!

How deep? Deepest Cheshire is somewhere near Tarporley,
surrounded by cows and sheep and blessed by the rural peace
offered by the A49 and Oulton Park.
Anyway, is my chassis jiggered? It's split nearly all the way
through, both sides just in front of the front shock mount. This
has led to a collapsed front end with the leafsprings holding it
together! I've seen back half chassis parts for sale what's
available for the front? Back half not too bad, rear crossmember
of course, one outrigger, centre crossmember tired. No chance of
affording a galv job, so repair or second hand chassis methinks.
Any ideas appreciated!
Cheers
