Croft Nostalgia Weekend

Ay up,
I have been going for the past few years and it keeps getting
better. Set to be a right good one this year.
Military vehicles, classic cars, old busses and just about any
sort of vehicle you can think of. Last year the busses were
taking people on track laps from the pit lane. Fly pasts and
aerobatics, stationary Rolls Royce Griffon engines that run (and
create a lot of noise!) Oh and a full weekend programme of
classic racing.

There is likely to be a handful of Landys amongst the many other
things. Probably too late for most people to enter but would be
great to see some more leafers in the car park, I think I was
the only one last year.

Anyone who doesn't know where Croft Circuit is, it is County
Durham, near Darlington. Google Map it and get yerself 'ere.

I wish they'd change the entry criteria to cover vehicles that
bit younger. Its a good weekend but I can't show either of my
neenaws.

Why can't you show the neenaws?
On the entry form it says exceptions can be made for younger
vehicles that are special and yours would certainly qualify.

The specially clause only applies to racing types.. They don't
approve of a 1982 Landy or a 1976 Dennis.. Philestines

Surely at the organisers discretion they would allow classic
fire engines?!?
Give them a call? Might be too late for this year but next
year...

Yeh will give them a buzz.. Always looking for local places to
take muppet to at 4mpg at best she doesn't go very far without
denting the bank balance!

I'm sure its pre 1-1-74 only.. Muppet is 1975. Although
sometimes I can give Ray Charles a run for his money in the
vision stakes.

It is pre 74, but at organisers discretion for interesting
vehicles. That is just to keep out the riff raf with late 80s
Saabs etc.
