Interesting looking vehicle. Are those domed rivets on the tub
(ie. SII or SIIa)? The bumper is SIIa military.
Need to see pics of the insides!
Not that we're at all rivet-counter-ish round here mind you...
       :rolleye0012:
Don't part with a bean until it has had the IVA n' that...

The options for taking them off are.. unscrew them and take them
       off..
I'd be tempted to loose the lights in the wings anyway and stick
with the inner headlights - never seen why people have both (I
know they're used as spotlights for some people) but I think
       they just look :gay:

So far I've done 10 miles in it (on private roads obviously)
Enjoyed the run, wandering steering (new relay just done) went
to turn into my drive and nearly ended up in next doors! Think i
       like it!
First issues are smokey engine which doesn't seem to
clear, engine in the hot temp range according to the gauge think
the cooling systems needing a flush as the top hose felt
crunchy, only the top of the rad was hot. Can't get any wiper
motors to work either, played with the switches to no avail,
       check for power tomorrow.
So far so good, see what happens after I get some time to
       investigate it's first obvious problems.

Looks tidy mate. Definitely give the cooling system a full dose
of looking at as soon as.

From the interior photos that's a 2a bulkhead. The separate
wiper motors indicate suffix C or earlier, so pre-'67. The
spoked steering wheel ended with suffix B and the dash panel
looks to be suffix D or later. And a series 3 indicator stalk
       too. It's seen some action!

One other thing worth mentioning, and not meant to piss on your
parade is money. Someone has spent a lot of time on this but it
is a bitsa that has no original identity and never will have.
That's not to say it's not worth having, just be aware this hits
the current and future value and with the mechanical issues it
       wants to be cheap.

Any pictures of the spring hangers and rear cross member as it
looks like it might be on an EX military 1 ton chassis to me :-?

I'm with Noel on this - technically this vehicle probably has
never existed (if you see what I mean). Lord only knows what SSM
       841T was originally.
It may look the part (and it does look handsome), and it may do
you proud and give you hours of fun, but the bottom line is that
it's never going to be worth owt - make sure you're paying
       absolute bottom money for it..!

well if the IVA goes well then it will be issued with a new
V5,problem sorted, I'll be happy with whatever it value is
       then.
I'm not concerned as I intend to keep it and use it regularly,
wanted one for ages you see.
Wipers working, found a load of oil in the air box, reduced
that, hoping it's a bit less smokey!
