Reverse gear was lost on a 30 Miles ago rebuild Series III
gearbox - this is what was found.

Not good.
What is a good company for a rebuild Series III box - or parts ?
This 109 needs to move..
P.S. Do not mention A.T. as that is where this bit came from....

Is that the original shaft or a replacement? Also did you do the
rebuild or get someone else to do it as I'd look at getting some
money back for that!
Rebuilding mine myself at the minute and it'll cost about £300

Was in a vehicle - and box was done by the seller.
Parts supposed to have come from the well known transmission
company.
IF good quality parts were to be found we could rebuild it.
But the problem is now what parts do we leave in....

The reverse idler shaft is rarely replaced. Was this one an
original or a replacement ?

€ 1.635,- ( That is about 1.320 in your money)
Warranty not given or origin of parts on paper..
May have found one in the UK.

What suffix is the shaft? I've also got a spare suffix D gearbox
I could have a look at taking it out of if you want it (dont
know the condition of it though)
Also what would cause this? Gear seizing on the shaft
overstressing the part when engaged?

I managed to get a NOS reverse idler gear fro PA Blanchards may
be worth seeing if they have the shafts? It was an ex mil item
and you could tell it was made properly.
