Which tyres? (aesthetics vs cost)

Ay up,
I want some tires that look right for a leafer, rather than my
current Michelin M+S standard road biased boring looking things.
They just don't look right.
Something that looks like the Avon traction mileage tyres but at
half the price is the idea.
Ideally would like to not have to spend more than 70-80 per
tyre.
Remoulds are fine.
Anybody have any recommendations?

Kingpin Tracker MT tyres look a little like the old Avon
Tractions, but I haven't spoken to anyone who has used them so
can't vouch for performance

One of the best looking tyres to me is the Goodyear Hi-Miler
Xtra Grip pattern. Not the best behaviour on road but these days
about as period as you'll get IMHO. Security or Deestone make
them now.

I can recommend these, not to costly or noisy, handle reasonably
on road and very good off plus come in a proper 750r16

What is the difference in size between a 7.50 R16 and a 205 80
R16?

Got them on one of my others (boingy); adequate enough, really
light on the steering, and sound just right.

I had the Bronco versions of these, and they were ok right up
until one of them threw the tread off at 60 on the A419 :o Mind
you, having said that they were better than the Trac Edge they
replaced - I never got why they were raved about; mine never
climbed out of ruts and had an alarming bouncing tendency around
70 mph.

These fedima town and country tyres look like a good trade off
between a higher % of rad usage to off road whilst still looking
the part
