       Easter Catflap Project - finished
By: rowehillmaster Date: June 8, 2014, 1:39 pm

My £4.60 e-bay catflap (£19.79 delivered) is now fully restored,
along with the tailgate, and fully fitted.
Before -: (had been riveted to a tailgate to make a door !)

During -: (skin off, new bottom rail and five patches later)

After -: (all back together, painted and assembled - I have even
made an original type stay, but will probably put on a gas
       strut.

Care to share your seal between tailgate top and catflap bottom
arrangement, mine is still a huge gap!

I made the drip strip, ( yellow bit below), as it had been
removed when the flap was riveted to the tailgate with a 6"
piece of plate, to make a door. The seal and retainer (grey and
blue respectively) are original items - does that help?

I had to make the drip strip, could not get one, and even scrap
doors are way to expensive now - I just got lucky on e-bay I
       guess.

Yep, that helps thanks, mines all NOS and cost a bomb, but I
cant get the inner seal and bracket, for love/money/a
kidney.......I must throw some thought at fabricating
       something.........
       Top job on the refurb!
