       Leafer-Friendly Garage/Mechanic in North Yorkshire?

My elder sister has a leafer, which she loves.
However, she has very little mechanical savvy-ness nor the
       inclination to get too oily.
She needs to find someone, a local garage kind of set-up, who
       can be trusted to service and maintain the thing for her;
someone who knows their way around an old leafer.
Her local garage couldn't even fathom the air filter, and had to
telephone her to ask how to turn the head-lights on. ::)
Any recommendations would be appreciated, in a radius of
       Knaresborough.

This might have been covered before but perhaps it would be a
good idea to run a thread (sticky?) with recommendations for
       leafer friendly garages and mechanics.
I've just found it surprisingly difficult to find a mobile
mechanic in Kent and Sussex and had to go through several
       iterations of: "It's a 1980 Series 3 Land Rover.....it's been
running roughly since the previous owner put in a new dizzy and
I changed the carb and probably it needs the timing and tuning
       sorting out........yes, it's got points and a
carburettor.........yes, it is a bit old fashioned isn't
it............mmm, a timing light might help etc etc"
before I found someone who sounded even vaguely familiar with
what, to most people on here, is a trivial problem.
He's coming next week and normally fixes old MG's so I presume
       will have the requisite knowledge.
