Hello from London

Hello everyone. I have recently acquired a lovely late Series 3
County SW, as my weekend runabout and escape-to-the-country car.
The car is in great shape and puts a big smile on my face every
time I drive it.
It is my fist Land Rover, although I've had a bit of
over-landing experience in South America with Toyota FJ40s and
the like.
Now I am looking forward to (slow) trips in Britain, Europe and
perhaps North Africa. Who knows?

"with Inferior Japanese Vehicle FJ40s and the like."
Thanks for the welcome everyone.
Nice edit on my T&*%ota :)
"Not all leafers are slow."
Yes, I am aware of that. Mine is though, especially with no
overdrive (at the moment).

It's the inbuilt swear filter, designed to weed out filthy
language.

2.25 petrol in mine, cruises at a steady 60 with the overdrive
in, and can do better at great fuel expense drink(*&

That's great to know. I am considering an overdrive. Without it,
I have pushed it to 60 but realistically it likes it better
sitting at 50/55.
Here's a pic from the weekend:

Pretty much a standard brown County, in pretty decent shape.

That does look in pretty good shape. 8)
An o/d won't make your leafer faster, but does make for a much
more relaxed drive; especially on longer distance runs. You'll
be able to run at 60mph without the engine sounding like it's
about to go into melt-down.
