imperial steel tube?

Hi all,
I am on the hunt for three lengths (about 15cm each) of steel
tube with the dimensions:
- internal diameter 25.4 mm (= 1 inch)
- 1,5 mm thickness (= 1/16 inch)
just plain black pieces of steel tube. Nothing fancy, not
galvanized etc.
As I am in DIN and metric land, I am unable to get the short
length I would need.
I thought I might ask on here, maybe somebody is close to a
steel manufacturer or
dealer of steel profiles etc?
All help appreciated.

I usually scrounge around for things like that. For small
quantities try Ebay lots of UK suppliers do tube for the model
engineering boys. I will also take a look in my tat box next
time i am in the workshop.

Will stainless do? Might have offcuts that size in the scrap bin

My tat box only had about 80mm of stainless tube but the size is
readily available.

Hi all,
thanks for help, much appreciated.
Nothing mission critical, so might get myself a 25mm metric tube
for starters now and see if I can make it work.
I shall report back.
