One for the steam & tractor crowd
By: Jackual Date: May 13, 2014, 7:56 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Went to pick up one of my buys from trade me (an online action
site- The antipodean eBay if you will) and met a rather
       interesting character.
I'd been told about this fella's shed and its interesting
contents a little while back, when visiting the paint shop to
get some paint for my old Zetor. I didn't get many pictures so
       sorry in advance.
Rows of 40' shipping containers outside used as tractor storage
for must be upwards of 30 restored vintage tractors. Fordson's,
John deere's, David brown's, some Lanz Bulldogs a Chamberlain a
       little Turner and many more.

Just outside the shed was this Mclaren Yorkshire steamer
undergoing some repairs to the firebox

       And inside in the corner of the shed was this;

I've been told a bit about this little engines history, A really
rare bit of kit it is.
There was a guy there doing repairs to the McLaren that I got
talking to, and he owns these, Taken at a event a few years ago,
These engines are also nearby in the Bay.

Those Yeoman of England tractors are pretty rare in the UK and
       are worth a small fortune!

That Brown & May steam tractor is a real peach. It look s like
7530, which was/is owned by Chris Pask..?

You are correct Wooden, That is Chris Pask's, I went to pick up
a mulcher flail mower from his vineyard, He is the antipodean
Fred Dibnah, But with less steeple jacking and less Lancashire.
There is only 2 Brown and May steam tractors left working, This
one here in NZ, and another in the UK. There is another, It lies
in the bottom of Napier docks, Two of them were ordered by
Arthur Leipst, but only one made it, it fell off the crane when
unloading the ship, and was never recovered.
The Turner is completely concourse, I did see it at a Hawkes bay
       vintage machinery club event a year or two ago;

I'll see if i can get my little Zetor to the event one year.
       Cheers, Jack.

An old Mack truck, Someones tractor transport wagon. There were
some mint trucks to look at there, I'll have a rummage and see
what pictures I can find from that day.
