....I need to repair/ replace the steering relay on
Florence.....and judging by the price of a new one it would seem
that a dangerous repair is probably unwarranted.....however,
which make do I go for?.....Allmakes, Shitpart or Bearmach? ???

Is none of the above an option
I'd be getting the parts and rebuilding the original

Avoid anything other than a genuine part on this, a safety
CRITICAL item. There are reports of cheap ones shearing the
shaft. I run my 1970 heavy, daily, and it has the relay from my
1961 installed. The hammer it gets, if it were a cheap one, it
would have snapped three times by now. You get what you pay for.

       What's wrong with it?
Just a fill up with oil could be all it needs

It is possible to do a repair on the seal race if it is
buggered, you need access to an engineer though.
