Tropical roof with no vents?

Morning, I've been offered a tropical / safari roof for my swb
but it's got no vents to open? Are they any good or should I
just keep looking for one with vents?

I'd say that's personal choice. I've got a tropical roof on the
109 and it has to be said the vents do make a difference,
however the weather here is rarely tropical enough to warrant
them. The second skin works well too so you'd get some benefit
from that on it's own. If the one you've been offered is
straight I'd be quite happy.

If you're not too sure, I'd be quite happy give it a home if it
has got decent(ish) headlining in it. I'm on the lookout for
one for the new project!

Its a utility export spec roof. Keeps the drips off, and because
of the double skin, it acts as a venturi to drag air through the
gap in summer, keeping you cooler. I have one on my 109.
relatively rare in the UK.

...I got one on the 88 - always wondered why it has no vents,
thanks for clearing that up. I think it is quite good to prevent
condensation and the extra windows on the side provide more
light inside the back as well. Wouldn't mind having the vents
though...
