Would it be possible to hand start my 2A fitted with a 2.5 N/A
diesel please? Just want to know if it's feasible before I look
for a handle. She doesn't get used as much as she should.
       Cheers Mud

I doubt it bud. Not saying impossible, just very difficult. The
compression would take some overcoming with a handle. The use of
a a de-compression facility on much smaller Diesel engines is
probably a clue to the effort needed.
       :-?

Still worth getting a handle. It is useful for setting tappets,
       timing etc.

Handle is a handy thing to have but good luck actually using it
to start it. Possibly with engine warm and a lot of
       determination but not cold.

Thanks guys, much appreciated! I'll have a look for one on the
bay unless anyone wants to part with one? I went to Newbury at
the weekend and didn't see one, nor a catflap, but that's
       another story.
       Cheers Mud
