Classic Car Day - Friday 4th April (Radio 2)
By: inglishg Date: April 3, 2014, 6:58 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Apparently the ginger haired presenter in R2 has declared
tomorrow (Friday 4th April) as classic car day...and we should
(who don't normally drive our classic cars) all be using them
and making a donation to Children in Need (or some other charity
or another).
Who is taking part? It's my plan to get The Shed fired up
tomorrow and give it a run out

Its all well and good this drive your classic to work day, but
last night the main road where I live was cluttered up with old
Bentleys and such like as this event came through -

/>There I was sat having a pint, overlooking the main road,
normally full of lovely euroboxes and modern 4x4s and the next
thing all these bloody old cars come along and spoil the view -
and talk about noise........

Saw a lot of them going brought Derbyshire near Chatsworth. Good
noise and a great smell of old engines!

it appeared to be a "non-event" here in Birmingham, it looks
like i'm almost the only person that drives anything that could
be remotely called classic on a regular basis
only 49 years old last month :smilewide:

Due to "starting issues", or perhaps that should really be
"non-starting issues", I didn't use The Shed on Friday :(
Really disappointed...it'll start on the crank, but even with a
fully cgharged battery and jump leads to a lesser Landy failed
to properly spin the starter...just dimming all the dashboard
lights - yeah, both of them!
It's been suggested a poor earth from the starter is most
likely. I must get it sorted by next weekend...coz I'm out
greenlaning!
