Roof lining?

The Shed (my S2a) has heavy loud speaker accoustic material
glued to the roof. It looks great and has stopped the
condensation issue.
However, the carpet glue which was used is useless when the sun
shines (yeah, so not very often!).
Is there another glue I should consider using? The aerosol spray
glue is just soooo convenient and easy to apply!

I've just used some spray adhesive (carpet/fabric adhesive) to
fix a foam rubber lining to roof of my :gay:
works Great even in a :gay:defender

Yeah, it's carpet spray glue which I've used, which lets go when
it gets warm.
It doesn't help now that the roof is painted black...

Shop around mate, high temp glue is available. They use it when
they convert vans into campers.

Thixofix contact adhesive is what you want, its expensive but
its really good

exmoor trim do a spray glue with their seat kits, it's great
stuff, used it all over the place in direct sunlight and it's
never let go.

Try Wayside Adhesives in Nottingham. They supply the car
manufacturers as well as public. Good quality kit at sensible
prices, and very quick mail order. I got a tin of their high
temp glue for my roof lining. Excellent stuff. They do all sorts
of screen sealants, panel glues, and bitumen sound deadening
sheets. I have used them for years. No conection to the firm,
just a satisfied customer.

I've lined mine with dark green Hardura ( the felt backed vinyl
stuff LR made their seat box covers etc from ) bought in a roll
from Woollies Trim. They also sell tins of adhesive ( Alpha
summat) that works very very well and beats those aerosol carpet
adhesives into a cocked hat.
2 years later and the roof lining has not moved. You can get
Hardura in a number of colours. Recommended.
