Look at my Knob.

That’ll be a “Gear Knob” before you all write in and complain.
;-)
So, take one “Gallstone”, “Nail Varnish”, “Clear Resin” and a
lump of “Special Aluminium”.
GALLSTONE!!!!... I hear you cry!! Yes, a Gallstone.
Last year from about April on to the end of October I was very
ill with a worn-out Gallbladder and a large Gallstone. I went
into hospital and had it removed at the end of October and the
surgeon let me keep the Gallstone. So what does one do with a
Gallstone? Store it away in a draw forever and ever or in-case
it in resin for all to see forever?
I’ll let the photo’s take over from here on.

This ally has been in my garage for a fair few years. I got it
off a mate that worked at Cosworth and they used this ally for
making pistons, so it’s a very high grade alloy.
Stick it in the lathe.

Apply and touch of nail varnish to the base inside.

Then take one “Gallstone” and place it inside.

Here I made a stand to hold the gear knob while I coated and
filled it with resin.

LOL a testical removed. I lost one of mine in a bike accident
many years ago, was not offered it in a jar to keep. Alloy gear
knob will amplify transmission noise but looks good.

I'm not sure I would want to look at that every time I changed
gear.
Nice bit of machining, but I would have started with a smaller
bit of aluminium. Did you collect all the swarf and weigh it in
at the scrap yard?

Why did I look at this while I was eating my lunch? >vom<
That's a beast of a gall stone. You'll be glad to shot of that
although the small ones are worse 'cause they get flushed into
the bile duct whereupon the wee bastards get stuck. Then the
real pain begins.
