Gamsrallye 2014 - 19/20 July - Salzkammergut/Austria

Hi folks,
maybe some of you euroleafers are interested to join our 3rd
Gamsrallye at the famous Salzkammergut Area/Austria on 19./20.
July 2014. We all meet at 10:00 am at St. Gilgen am Wolfgangsee
mole. Spend a few days in this wonderful area and do a bit of
greenlaning in the surounding mountains with us, followed by a
dinner on a typical austrian "Alm" and stay the night on 1300 m
- Jan did that last year and - at least - enjoyed it

If someone is able to speak or understand german here you find

A truly great event in some amazing mountain landscape. I
probably won't have the money to do it again this year, but
would love to do it with both of our trucks one day. If the
weather is like last year, Afrika Korps-style air filters are a
must :eek:
We did it as part of our Alpine holiday last year, but it's
really worth making it a central part of the trip as we missed
out of the social part a bit at the end due to having kids/dogs
(all coated in a fine layer of dust) with us.
Flo, are you coming to BBW this year? ;-)

Looks fantastic!
There's a group of us heading to Croatia for the first two weeks
of July, and we'll be passing through Austria - probably camp
one night in the region.
Perhaps we should have arranged to stay a little longer and
explore?
Sadly, all the Landy's going have "alternative" suspension
arrangements... :gay:

The meeting is mostly going on roads which are off limits to the
public thanks to Flo's contacts, but there are interesting
country roads there - the trick is finding the one that actually
leads you somewhere instead of getting you in front of a barrier
or a gate into a private property...

Sounds a similar situation to Croatia. We are meeting with some
Croatian guys who will take us out on a number of full days
greenlaning, as some of the lanes there are dead ends, or need
permission to use them.
Just wish I was using The Shed for this adventure, but it'll be
too long and uncomfortable for me. Incidentally...how do I
increase the legroom in an 88" S2a?
