Yeah I've got one in the motor and a midland hand held one.
Brilliant when you need one, would suggest evilbay as a the
place to get them though as little need to buy a new one for the
       amount you will use it.
I also have some of those wailkie talkie things that we use
around my mates farm and they are useful. Really depends on what
range you think you will need.

yes have one in mine also very handy when laneing (well if
       others do too)
good for spotting and guiding when the weather is crap
       :rolleye0012:
agree with PJ buy a second hand one - BUT buy a decent ariel and
       mount it properley
also solder all connections and put small amount of vaseline on
ariel connections to stop water getting in
also find someone with a SWR meter and get it set up properley

You need to get out laning with some fellow leafers, some of
them will almost certainly have CB's then you will see the
       advantage of them
       Enjoy

I've got a CB in the ambulance in the states just in case it's
useful should we get stuck in the middle of nowhere. Mobile
phone coverage is non-existant in most of the places we driv e.
My cousin's husband was gear-jamming a Kenworth not so long ago
and he said the "Smokey and the Bandit" CB talk seems to have
died a death now and nowhere near as many truckers use CBs as
they one did. I'm 10-10 on the side good buddy.
