Err, not sure to be honest - I was searching google images and
found it, although I am sure I have read about it some time ago
in Old Glory magazine.

I think that 109" is based on the Staffold Barn Railway - a
private line near Tamworth that belongs mostly (as I understand)
to a chap called Graham Lee.

Correct- it was "knocked together" for the Statfold Barn private
railway. Can't remember what gauge it is now- most likely 2ft,
but there's three or four different gauges at Statfold.
The one belonging to my Boss' partner is one of the originals
built by Land Rover- they did a couple, one with steel rail
wheels replacing the road wheels, and then the one with
hydraulically lowered rail wheels front and rear and relying on
the road wheels (900x16s on deep dish rims with spacers) for
traction- of course, that one was a road railer but both the
others are permanent(ish)ly rail mounted. It's the one in the
link Icey posted :)
