       Fantastic motor.
Used to run a ex mod series 2 ffr with a similar set up on the
rear. You had to drive it with your arm out the window when
loaded to stop the door opening ;D
Biggest thing we ever lifted with it was a loaded securicor
       transit mk2 cash van :rolleye0012:
Also remember being towed backwards in a jag xj with rear
damage, had to duck every time a car came along :smilewide:
Those were the days before the fun police stopped common sense
We had standard 6.00x16 cross ply tyres on as well. What tyres
       you fitting on this one.

knackered thou, but thinking something similar.

Ours had the army xtra grip type... with metal studs fitted
 ...it was only used round the yard / adjacent fields, so
the fact they were a bit fucked didn't matter too much

Had them on a Commer Q4 wrecker. Never went fast enough to worry
about traction. Thank god we upgraded to a AEC Matador.

Thanks for the comments guy's there are only two on the island
and the other one hasn't seen daylight for years. This year will
however probably be my last year of ownership as I will struggle
to find storage this year. She's a reliable old girl and I do
get a smile everytime I driver her. Lots of history in that
       truck.
       best
