Nick, Only did it the first time myself last year and I live in
Warrington, seem to recall the name 'end of the year steam
party' tends to be last week in September when things are
winding down events wise, no booking in folks just turn up on
the carpark which gets packed out with stuff going on like
morris dancers and such like drink(*& .
Hope to be there next year work/time permitting, Jon.

Hi there, did you make it in the end?
There were a few nice leafers there. There were 2 concours
80-inchers, a very patinated 107 that I often see on the show
circiut (Strang probably knows the one I mean - it has a sheep
skull on the front of it), a well-used S1 88 for sale, a nicely
faded S2 88 with the most sewing-machine like 2.25, and an S2
with a mint 2.25 Diesel.
I was there helping a mate with his Aveling and Porter
steamroller - the larger of the 2 green rollers that were parked
side by side. Its always a fantastic little do, even if the
weather was, well, shit on Saturday morning!

In the end I could not make it....what a bummer...I was looking
forward to it...next year I hope,
My mate went with his bronze green full tilt S3 2.25d that he
has just re-built...he went Sunday did you see that one I
wonder,
Told me it was fantastic....you got any pictures you can post.
Nick.
