Wow, over a year since I last posted in here...
To bring it back up to date, the truck still hardly ever
moves...did approximately 40km from about when I last posted
until about two weeks ago when I took it out for a run up to
Hartside, did about 100km that day so it did more that day that
       the whole of last year!
Anyhow, some pics...first pic is from last year, the rest from
       t'other week.

That'll probably be about it for this year then... ::)

Pity it's not an MOT and tax exempt motor. All that hassle for
less than 100 miles a year...

'Tis a fine looking Lightweight is that, but what happened to
tha front bumperettes? Took em off to strip paint off? A LWT
dunt look quite right without bumperettes.

Aye true enough. I did use it more often many years ago, even
used it as my daily driver for a bit once over (nearly
bankrupted me though!). Maybe this year I'll use it a bit more.

I took them off when the bumper was off (it was getting some
welding done on one of the dumbirons) and just never got around
to putting them back on. I suppose though it is actually in its
correct configuration as being a late Lightweight it never had
them fitted originally, the ones that were on I had fitted when
I got it 'cos it looked better. I know it sounds daft but I've
actually grown to quite like it without them now...strange huh!!

The 'Truck That Never Moves' is now has a nice new MoT pass so
that's that panic over and done with for another year! It nearly
was a panic too...when I turned up the Inspector from the
Ministry was doing a check on the MoT place but I managed to
fuck off and come back after he had gone...don't think either me
or the garage really wanted a 30 year old Land Rover to be the
'sample' for the garage to make sure they were doing the MoT
okay. It's not that their is owt wrong with the truck as such
it's just that it was gonna be a reet bad heed!
I've been using the old heap as a daily driver for the last few
weeks whilst my car is fucked and it's been a really nice change
if I'm being honest! Yup, it's been expensive, very expensive,
compared to the car but whilst the sun is shining you don't
really think about that...though now the weather is going tits
up it might not be as much fun...we'll see!
