       Update 'o' clock!
Starter motor has been rebuilt, I did use a new field coil in
the end, but only because the sticky backed cloth was taking its
sweet time to arrive from ebay land, When the cloth finally
arrived, I did re-wrap the old set of coils, it looks alright,
Spare coil for another starter maybe.

I've spun the commutator around in the lathe and given it a
quick skim down the armature to make it all bling and shiney.

The new coils needed a little bit of modification with the
position of the connection stud, Bit of blowlamp action and re
       soldering sorted that.

Next the throttle linkage fitting, it was worn out and needed
       some TLC

Out with the MIG to fill in the wear.

       Drilled and ground, much better.
With the welder out over the long weekend, I've done some rust
       repairs to the bulkhead.

This also meant I could play with my new toy, a chinese plasma
cutter to cut out the grot spots ;D

And also to cut out the fresh bits of steel, like a hot knife
through butter, I'd never go back to the angry grinder for
cutting this sort of stuff out now!

       Black!
I can't fit around the opposite side of the Landrover and the
shed, it also needs the same spot repairing and some holes in
       the footwell.
The radiator was next. I'd been given a radiator which had
become split and needed a new spigot on the top tank.

I soldered in a bit of copper pipe off-cut that was the right
       size.
I worked into the night as the temperature was much more
pleasant to work in, re-wiring the engine, and connecting the
       loom up.
I chucked in a battery to see if the loom would burst into
flames, or the dash lights would come to life, to my amazement
they did perfectly! I pushed the starter button - not expecting
anything but the engine to spin over Blub-ber-blub. :WTF No way!
After hearing it fire, that was it!, Black sheep was going to
       run, Now!
A bit of static timing to the dizzy and open the throttle up a
       smidgen more.

It lives!, First time since a demented GMO flesh eating sheep
drove it off the cliff in the film!, Sweet! Even the neighbours
know with no exhaust @ 5 to 11 at night. :rolleye0012:
Its a bit tappety and the oil filter leaks, nothing that a bit
       more tinkering can't sort.
Put the seat box in and loosely put the floors back in, so I can
move it a bit under its own power and make some more room to
       work.

       That'll do for t'night.
Plenty of stuff still to do, I need to find a scrap chassis with
a battery box to rob the air filter bracketry stuff off it. I
need to make an exhaust, Fix the other bulkhead pillar and the
holey footwell. Chuck the front wings on and wire up the lights.
       Then drive it.

       Progress & Update!
I've bitten the bullet and gone the lazy route, I've bought an
off-the-shelf exhaust, It's Britpart, YOLO! :finger:

It was a doddle to fit and I'm impressed with it.
I've completed all the work on the bulkhead, the passenger
footwell was in a bit of a state.

The floors are properly fitted, I've got a minor bit of wiring
       to do for the indicators.
The door seals to replace, I've got the rubber, just waiting for
a set of dies to fit the squeeze tool for the rivets.

And I'm still on the hunt for an air filter bracket, hoping to
find a scrap chassis with one fitted.
The radiator has a bit of a leak around the lower pipe, some
more work needed to that, or I'll see if I can find a better
       one.
Getting closer to the road now!
       Cheers, Jack.

Coming on nicely there, proper Nu-link mats? Have you seen the
price it costs for a set of those now?

worn out, and at that price...it can stay like that!
Dies for the rivet squeezer arrived the other day!

I've been drilling the old seals off and keeping the steel strip
to "slide" :banghead into the new seals, So this weekend I'll be
busy fitting new door seal rubber!
