I am looking for a passenger side version of this
HTML http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-AntiBurst-Door-Lock-RH-non-locking-395041-/220839380489
much as i hate to ask for part numbers... what is the part
number & were they ever made?
I like it that i can only lock the passenger door from the
inside & itll save me drilling a hole in the door skin

Check out part no. 395038 on Paddocks:

Not sure if it is exactly what you are after though, I could
have been wrong.

Ah hang on... with that one on ebay it is completely unlockable,
meaning you can't even lock it from the inside.
I think you could fit a twist lock to the one from Paddocks.
maybe...?

On the normal antiburst ones the lock barrel is pretty much
flush with the door skin anyway, so why just not bother drilling
the hole? You'll still be able to lock / unlock from the inside.

Quite possibly, some ex-MoD vehicles had no locks specified.

Anti-burst locks will have a small catch inside that you move to
lock, they're totally different to the other type. As the one
you linked to has provision for a lock barrel it'll have the
catch. But as it's Shitpart it won't work. ;-)

ahh so the one i origionally found does not have teh catch on
the inside either... i sees ( assumptiom is a bad thing )
looks like i am best fitting a normal anti burst & not drilling
the hole, If i dont put a barrel in will it still lock ( as i
am now thinking about sawing the barrel off an anti burster )
Cheers for all the help :)
