Rad Hose

Any tips of where to source a suitable bottom radiator hose from
a 200 tdi to an original rad? Its a hell of a bend I have
managed to bodge a rangie hose onto it but is tight and worried
about water flow.
It sort of needs to be a tight U shape on an angle!!
Any suggestions? can you get a flexible hose?

Gates do a flexi hose but you need a fair bit of room to get one
on. Most 200 TDI conversions I have seen seem to use a couple of
series hoses shortened and joined together with a steel
tube/hose clips.

I used silicone bends I got from ebay. Pretty sure it was a 135
degree and a 90 degree with a joiner in between.

i just scrounge the chopped hoses from the breakers in
approximately the correct bore then cut and join to get them to
go where i need them with my 200tdi conversions, i use bits of
the original hose along with anything i can get hold of
the joints are just bits of motorcycle exhaust but the jubilee
clips are all from ford engines as i think they're the
best/strongest available and i only do them up with a 1/4 drive
socket = no slipping and properly nipped up

I've got the gates hose on and it is quite long, about 400 or
500mm so the bend is quite smooth but it does take up some space
up. Next time I need to drain the rad I will make one up I think
from a top and bottom series rad hoses with a joiner piece. I
tried to get hold of a spare gates and couldn't locate one.
Halfords used to sell them.
See Glencoygn website for part number and also pics on how he
joined the two series hoses together.
