I think he did, then he appeared again last year.
I don't know if someone else has bought his business, or if he
got bored with nothing to do, but whatever, it's good news

"Its a coach paint, you don't do multiple coats with coach
paint. It won't work, that's not due to HMG its the same for
all. It isn't intended to be applied like cellulose, you put it
on in one hit
Different paints need different application and you need to use
the right one"
I had a look at one of the tins last night while I was in the
garage. It says (under the Paddocks applied label) "1k
synthetic" or something similar.

It's the same stuff we used at work for touching up accident
damage when the big, bad PLC got the arse with us spraying 2K.
1K synthetic isn't coach paint by any stretch of the
imagination. I'd be leaning to environmental conditions causing
the problems perhaps. It's cold and damp and personally I
wouldn't attempt to paint anything this time of year outside. A
way of proving this would be bring a rubbed down panel inside
the house and leave it 24 hours to acclimatise, then paint it
inside. I'm guessing it will go on much better. Leaving the
paint pot on a radiator for 24 hours also is good practice, the
gentle heat will make it flow better.

I'm not painting right now, this was all done a while ago when
we had the nice warm weather. The thing that prompted my moan
was the sudden appearance of water filled bubbles within the
last week or two.

Bill the Paintman has retired, bumped into a guy at a couple of
shows last year who was trading as the Paintman and had bought
all of Bills old stock so was selling that off and some HMG
paint too, IMHO he was a bit overpriced and I could get a hell
of a lot cheaper from the local paint guys

I slapped a load of that on mine and it was all right. Made it
green and the wheels white
