clamping battery terminals

One of my pet hates is the fiddling around with battery
terminals. Usually the correct spanner is the one that's gone
walkies, and being clumsy spectacular arcing is not uncommon,
particularly with the under seat battery on the S1. Anywayup I
fitted a pair of these on the S1 about two years ago.

Work a treat, really firm grip on the battery post and very easy
to get on and off, and totally reduce the risk of stray sparks
and shorts.
Bought another pair for the S3 today.
Maplins Code: WD15R but gone up from £12 to £14.99 in the
last couple of years.

Bit cheaper on the bay though.

they look quite nifty and a good at slowing slowing down
potential thieves.

These things are handy, my Berlingo van has a similar thing on
the positive terminal. Only major downside is that if you want
to use jumpleads you can't access the metalwork without lifting
the cap, which disconnects the battery..........

Good point above. Mine would never have run at all last year the
amount of times I was out with the jump leads.

On the upside when the smoke starts leaking out of the wiring it
only take seconds to cut all the power. Don't ask :haha:
