Basic 109 1976 series 3 rebuilt (?)
By: Gozo_Joseph Date: January 17, 2014, 1:50 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
hi so after a whole lot of years of drooling at interesting
threads of series rebuilds i decided this summer to have a go at
rebuilding mine. i started to dismantle the landy some years
ago when i had to use its engine in my present ride (laika)
other parts like steering box and lights left it as spare parts
to my runner. So on summer 2013 i thought i might as well start
dismantle it and sort the good parts etc as spares. but
eventually i thought i might try rebuild it with the hope of
having it registered as a vintage car with the rate of 8 euros
tax a year. The hard top was not on it, it belonged to laika but
when i switched to pick up i decided to throw it on it. i recon
i bent a bit the top rail of bulkhead in the process :2mo5pow:
anyhow. i have been loading some pictures on photobucket and i
thought i might add some link of the album here instead of
throwing pictures here. pictures are crappy as from phone. i
have a decent camera but dont konw where it is .. :(

Maybe one of your sheep ate the camera? ;D Looking forward to
seeing your progress, at least you have somewhere nice and dry
to work on it unlike me, this rain is bloody ridiculous.

doh!! *help* haven't had the best week/end ever..
The best sheep over indulged herself - over grazed/ate and ended
up almost dying. still in recovery mode.
Hard times at school.
Terrible storm that ripped apart greenhouse used to store the
hay :( some hay got wet.
A local farmer's flock decided to tramp and graze on one of my
small rye grass fields...
terrible. little work done on the 1976 series 3. but am also
waiting for the local sheet worker to try make the footwells
using his machines etc. maybe it turns out cheaper than bringing
from UK. not that the ones bought are bad, but you know just to
have a copy
cheers.

reconstruction of door pillar (grinding needed) and other side
requires such works. getting new ones would have been better but
well .. i like to practice. machine made bends over there. hope
it works!!
