Didn't realise it was you who did the stuff on the expedition
Land Rover website, that is good stuff. I have been studying
and reading it over the last few days as I'm looking at TDi'ing
the new motor, looks like a class job you've done and a truly
comprehensive guide :)

Great write up, pretty similar to mine except I used the disco
header tank mounted to the back of the rad and I swapped the
thermostat housing for the series one as it made for a better
top hose run you have to pack the bolts out with some washers
tho

Meant to ask, on the subject of glow plugs how have you kept the
dash light working? I have a 19j which of course uses full fat
12v plugs. To get them to heat I currently have the feed to the
plugs directly linked to the supply on the old 2.25 resistor.
The lead for the warning lamp is still on the other side of the
resistor, is this needing earthed or am I missing something?
Presumably from the above posts I will need a 12v bulb as well?
thanks

You're on the right track.
Your old resistor is now redundant, but you can leave it in
place to act as a terminal block if you like.
Connect one terminal of the warning lamp's wires to the 12v
switched feed to the heater plugs, the other to chassis ground.
Then replace the original 6v warning lamp bulb with a new 12v
one and you're away.
HTH, Glen.
