       Looks an interesting project
I love the small industrial engines. I must confess I have not
actually had any inspiration to return to the loft this year. I
had turned my attention (and disposable income) back to the
Series 1 and getting back into trialling.
I understand that one of the manufacturers is looking to produce
one of the Hunslet 0-4-0 diesels which I think would look good
       on my dock.
From the one end of the scale to the other, I have actually
pre-ordered and am eagerly awaiting one of the Bayer-Garrats
(2-6-0-0-6-2) from Hattons which I understand are finally
expected to arrive from Heljan next month :giddy:
Not sure how it will fit into my railway yet.
Hmm, now should I wander over to my local model railway emporium
in Aston Clinton, if I get some more low relief houses, then I
could possibly do with a single road engine shed.
Oh Dave what have you done ?

Following this with Interest! I keep thinking about a small
layout for either the shed or the loft. If its going in the shed
was thinking of 'n' gauge and if it ends up in the loft it will
be 'oo'. Never had a railway before and certainly haven't built
one. Why at the age I am it's only now I'm getting Interested in
       a model railway?

Will follow with interest Dave. How does the Sentinel run, good
slow speed control etc? I am thinking of buying one at this
       weekends Calne show.

There's not a lot of space in that loco for a decoder but,
apparently, it can be done. So I'm wiring the layout for DCC but
will be running it on DC to begin with but on a 'one engine in
       steam' basis.
Here's a pic of wiring so far. This is just the wiring for the
point solenoids and the frog polarity switches.

       And I've been weathering wagons.

I'll write a bit about how I've done them, if anyone's
interested. I've used a different method than for O gauge and
it's a bit experimental but I'm happy with the results so far.

The track is laid and wired up. The point motors (solenoids) are
wired up and the lot has been tested. The pic above shows the
baseboard with the track having been given a spray of a suitable
colour and the board having been given a coat of paint that will
help other stuff, such as air-drying clay and ballast stick to
       it better.

And here's the loco repainted, lettered and reassembled.

Here's a pig iron wagon that I made. No such wagon is available
in either ready to run (RTR) or kit form, so I made the body out
of plasticard and fitted it to suitable chassis. The lettering
was made up using Photoshop and printed on plain paper on the
       computer printer.
