Your Cromptons were the class 33, built by the Birmingham
Railway Carriage & Wagon Co., fitted with 1550HP Sulzer engines
and Crompton-Parkinson electrical equipment. These in the film
are mostly class 25 - Built by British Railways, also with
Sulzer engines but only 1250HP and electrical gear by A.E.I.
Have you got any photos of your driving days?

sorry Dave, do'nt think I have any photo's camera's were bit
rarer in those days and a change of house/wife/employment/to
much beer, all take their tolls, we used also electric loco's
and what we called E.D's they could run on the pantograph, third
rail or with an auxillary diesel engine powering the electric
motor, do'nt recall a lot about the times really was only 16
when I started and that was 50 yrs ago, kind regards
