Painting GB springs

I have a new set of GB paras to fit to my 88 but i have to admit
I'm not over the moon with the bright blue colour. Is there any
issues painting them with regards to their working action ?
Interested to hear peoples thoughts on this, should i be proud
of her new shiny bits or try and hide them so it looks more
original.

The choice is yours, although most people just leave them as
they are. I very much doubt whether painting them would impact
their function one bit.

Shouldn't be a problem, just don't paint the rubber bits
Be aware though, if you have any warenty on them you may forfeit
that

They look OK blue i had a set on mine and they looked fine in
blue

Its more because the rest of the 88 is totally original and i
hoped despite them being parabolic they would also look original
painted black.

Ah, you should have bought Br*tpart ones instead.
They rapidly shed the blue paint and turn brown. Well, mine did,
anyway ;D

Thought that might be the case, think ill put them on and run
them for a few months and see how they look.

No, Penn, that's the Br*tpart ones which have shed their paint.
I've got no idea what'll happen to proper ones like yours.

if they are decent ones (which they should be) they will stay
blue.

I'd be interested to see how you get on with these springs,
their prices seem good to me and theyre local so can save on
courier costs... not to fussed about coulour I just know I need
to sort out my saggy rear end in the new year :-?
