       Where to fix alternator?
   DIR By: beano
       Date: December 9, 2013, 1:11 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I am converting my ex military 88" to 12v alternator and have
offered it up to see where to attach the alternator, on LH of
engine where the dynamo was ,
but if I use the same fixing holes on the engine the whole thing
is too far forward, do I need a new bracket? I got the
alternator from the landy spares day
so Im pretty sure its the correct part.
       Any help gratefully received ta,
       Beano :banghead

Not sure how a dynamo is fixed on, but an alternator has it
       own bracket like this

Of course you only need one bracket rofl
Probably rare because all those 200tdi conversions need one to
       line the alternater up proper.

Sorry couldn't get a decent pic, it's tucked right down on the
left handside, couldn't get the camera in a good postion due to
       manifolds/exhaust etc. :-\
