Door gaps

I've done a search but didn't find an answer. My 109 passenger
door is rubbish to close as it doesn't get on the catch very
well. I have just replaced a lower section of the door pillar
and an outrigger on there too. The door is still awful but I've
noticed the gap all round the door is massive. The drivers side
is tight as I can see it's been catching the body for a while.
I have only just got the truck so don't know the history but it
looks like the bulkhead is slightly off.
How can I lessen the gap on the passenger side please?

I've the same problem, I've improved it by putting washers on
the long bolt that goes through the outrigger to act as spacers.

Ok great I need to bring the bulkhead backwards towards the tub
to close the gap. I've just walked past a neighbours s3 to see
the gaps and smaller than mine but still nearly get a finger in
there.

Just had a quick look and the new pillar foot I've put on has a
large collar I could grind back/off if I need to get the
bulkhead closer.
Quick question though how does the top of the bulkhead get
closer ie the bottom of the windscreen?

Maybe the foot or outrigger isn't welded in quite the right
position?

He's trying to bring it further back, not push it forwards,
hence the hammer suggestion. If anyone has a chassis that
requires welding after hammer bending summit into place, should
be inspected for heavy corrosion and repaired/replaced as
required. I've done this many times over the years. It works. As
for the top gap, slacken it all off especially the steering box
stanchion foot, and force it back into place with a ratchet
strap, and/or a scaffold tube wedged on the dash and leaned/sat
on to position it whilst tightened up.
