CAV Diesel Pump

Anyone got an exploded drawing of a CAV pump. Mine has developed
a fuel leak from where the throttle linkage pivots. The shaft
onto which the pivot moves can slide in and out of the body of
the pump. Pretty sure that is wrong......will post pic this
afternoon.....

This is where I have a leak......I seem to be able to pull the
shaft out. Not fully but it springs back
in.........unfortunately I seem to have a fuel starvation
problem now as I can not start the bugger.....Have bled the
system multiple times and drained the battery 3 times.......
Any clues?

What vehicle? Is it a dpa pump for a 2 1/4 or a DPS for 2.5? I
used this for ref on my 19j. Hope it helps.

Girty is a 2 1/4 Diesel. 1974. But I think she has an early
engine as the exhaust exits through the wing.

Hairy - most helpful. I feel I can now disassemble and replace
the O rings safe in the knowledge that I'm not going to feck
anything up too much....

Update.......
So I replaced the two "O" rings on the throttle arm.......but
clearly this is not where the leak is coming from. By the looks
of it the leak is propagating from under the end plate that
houses the regulating valve - quick removal shows an O ring seal
on top of the Transfer Pump. Going to pop out to the Kent Diesel
Centre for a replacement ......65p + Vat.........
Will let you all know how I get on......

I must say the gents at the Kent Diesel Center were true stars.
The o ring they thought was worn was the wrong one. They fished
around in their stores and came back with the correct seal and
said I could have it for nothing.......
What a truly nice thing to do for some poor old unfortunate
Series driver.
Have now replaced said seal and no more leak......smug grin
