North Eastern 20-ton coal hopper wagon, as running under BR
ownership in the 1960s. This is a plastic kit that I've built,
painted and weathered. I've also added working hopper doors.

This is a 27-ton ironstone wagon, ex-BR and taken into National
Coal Board stock, with a new capacity of 16-tons (ironstone
being more dense than coal n that). There are no doors at all on
this wagon as the type was designed to be unloaded by being
bodily lifted in a "tippler" that tipped the load out. The body
is made from scratch using plasticard and square section plastic
rod. Everything below the body was made up from spare parts from
kits, except the wheels, which were bought specially.

^^^That looks like it could be a real photo..! I've seen stuff
showcased in modelling magazines which doesn't come close to
that, Dave. Really impressive.
Can't wait to see what you could do with a Matchbox aircraft
kit. :thumbs:
