been round to richards today and picked up all my (and others)
stuff
great to meet you and total thanks for all the stuff - way more
than i imagined :smilewide:
now this is the crux - he says that now he is landrover-less and
nearly all the bits are gone - he should retire from the forum
:WTF
i may be out of order but can we not keep him on with honary
membership or something due to the large amount of 'pure
ollr-ness' in donating all this stuff to all these people :-?
let me be the first to say - top bloke and a pleasure to deal
with

Richard is indeed a very very top bloke and thoroughly decent
person and i hope he hangs around on here as he has a lot of
knowledge and ideas we can all benefit from. Having only met him
a few times i can say i view him as a friend not just a bloke i
got some stuff off.

I've not had a Land Rover for ages (and don't have any
particular plans to get another any time soon, 'tho I will do
someday), I still lurk & read the forumses & soak up the general
OLLRness of it all, not having a Land Rover is no reason to not
be here ;-)

H'mmmm, slight embarrassment on my part-I thought you were
joking Nick, when you said you were going to do this.
The thing is, having been at my current address for twenty six
years, I am finding the upheaval of preparing for the move
rather difficult. I don't doubt that the move itself, and the
aftermath, will thoroughly destabilise me. It wouldn't be wise
for me to participate in any kind of forum at such a time.
I am really grateful to those who have either bought stuff from
me or who have saved me the trouble of taking it to the
scrapyard. Big thanks!
Let's say I am taking a sabbatical and that if and when things
get settled down at the new place I may return. Until then:
HAPPY OLLRing
Richard

Don't forget Richard when your lass gets to much for you you can
always have a look on OLLR. It might be to laugh cry or just
take the piss but i think you would be made to feel most
welcome. All the best with the move and good luck.
Mick.

Plus I want to see the motorbike you plan to get. Was it a
Francis Barnett or something? Can't remember now!

If it's the Marina one, that would be me (thanks again by the
way Richard!). :giddy:
In times of instability, a small dose of mild lunacy can be good
for you so that's no reason not to drop in from time to time :)
