Flettner ventilators

I've bought a Flettner 2000 for my 88" in the hope that it will
stop it steaming up all the chuffing time in the autumn/winter
months. I normally have to drive along with the vents and side
window open to keep the screen clear, escpecially with a couple
of passengers in the front. Anyone have any experience with
Flettners?

I'll take that as a "no" then. Well I am going to have a go
anyway, worst case is I end up taking it off and patching the
hole in the roof!

I did not know what they were called, just Googled for a look.
May work or just pull what little heat you have out.

No worries there, I have a Eberspacher petrol heater, I can fry
eggs on the roof.

Just putting a D5 Eberspacher heater in my workshop. Multi fuel
job will be tapped into heating oil tank.
With one in your Landie be sure to fit a headlining, I can
imagine the condensation freezing and raining down on you!

From a quick google Dave, they are the spinny things on tops of
vans, to ventilate and reduce condensation.
If you have the heating capacity, I cant see why it wouldn’t do
the job, I guess somebody has to be the first to try it!

Ah! The spinny things on the tops of vans! Well if he'd said
that I'd have known. I used to have one on my motor. It was
fitted to the hard top when I bought it. Can't remember if it
had any effect on it steaming up though. It was useful for the
dog getting fresh air in the back.
It got smashed going under the barrier at the council tip...
