Series 2 front panel

Hello guys and girls!
Can I ask for some pictures of a bare series 2 front panel
please!?
Some measurements of headlamp position/grill openings etc would
be useful too!
I have a couple of spare Series 2a/3 panels, and I am wanting to
make my 2a have the headlamps on the font panel, rather than the
wings, so I was going to modify one of my spares, cut and weld
etc.
A card template would be great if someone would be so kind!? I
don't mind paying some postage if anyone would send one!? Or if
you're the technical type, a CAD drawing would be welcome!

As said, I can pop over whenever in the Carawagon if you want to
measure it up. Front panel is pretty much as it left the factory
- only two tiny repairs. Can get some measurements off the
bulkhead too then...

There are a couple of variants of these lights in the grille rad
panels Ed, the earlier series 2 panel (and 2a as fitted to
military vehicles) simply had round holes cut for surface
mounted headlights. The civvy 2a panel had a pressing around the
light hole so rims were not needed. The latter, more common type
would be difficult to fab due to this. Rusty grille panels are
easy to find, personally I think your efforts would be best
spent finding and repairing a proper one than modifying a later
one, unless you are massively well equipped with tools that can
fold the correct returns etc.

Yes Calum I know you said that! However you are currently in
Germany!!!
Thanks for that Noel, I was planning on just using the bowls
with chome rings flat mounted....
I work at my own classic car garage, and trained at a Rolls Rocy
coachbuilders, and have an english wheel and folders, shrinkers
etc. And as I have about 4 spare front panels, I thought it
could well be easier to use one of those!?

Wouldn't it be easier to just buy one? Stuey of this parish just
happens to have the EU series 2 front panel mountain in his
garage. Maybe you could prise one away from him in exchange for
beer tokens?

Well if someone wants to sell me one then fine... Just cos I
have a few spare S111 ones thought I'd gove it a go... and it
wouldnt cost me moneys... I fear that they will be thousands of
pounds...
