I know it's only October, but the tabloids have already been out
with "worst winter for uk" blah blah blah. To be honest I'd love
it. I'd love a repeat of 2010 or 1962/3 . But iv got say I don't
think it's gonna happen. As a whole I think it's going to be a
mild and cold with abit of frost. Anyone got any thoughts on
this.

Sunny spells, occasional wind and rain...50% chance of snow and
sub-zero temperatures.
Beer-mat weatherology from Drew.

What pisses me off is mediocrity. If it snows I hope we have a
proper dump of white stuff that stays for a few weeks. I can't
stand that grey damp neither-one-thing-nor-another bollocks we
normally get.

Well I've got a medium sized river running down the farm track
today.... Personally I don't mind what the weather does this
winter provided it does not just rain all the time. Last winter
bits of ground that are normally solid enough to drive on became
an utter swamp, which made feeding livestock bloody difficult.
Good solid frost is no problem, we can even cope with heavy
snow, provided there is a chance to get the track
cleared....just not months of rain. Planning to move the cows
into a less boggy area tomorrow - their current home is about to
become a loch. .......

I can't wait for the snow, mind you been saying that for years.
we always get the usual "don't go out or you'll die" wagfinger
on the telly, but very rarely get more than a light dusting
here, (unless you go up on Exmoor)

"storm of the century" not as hard as we're only 13 years into
this century
