Has anyone tried / used these ?
on LWB Rims fitted to a 88 Series III

They would be rather small for use on a LR. Overall height would
be smaller than a 205/600, so no use really.

If your LR spends most of its life in mud then they are a good
tyre ... Though I'd want them fitted with new tubes for that
If you spend most of the time on road, then you will use more
fuel, have worse handling, more noise, a harder ride and they
will wear quicker than a radial AT tyre

Insa tyres are remoulds could be good or bad. Will be crap in
wet on Tarmac. I run 205 all terrains (Avon strange bastards) on
my 88 biggest problem is using tubes in tubeless tyres the seem
puncture prone. I may one day get Debender tubeless rims.

they are dear unless as said fitted with new tubes.The Champ
lads use them or very similar and normally pay between £75 and
£80 for them.

hi I run insa turbo dakars on my series, copy of the bf
goodridge mt very good tyres no probs in the wet & my series has
a tdi, they were £75 +vat from paddocks with free delivery

"Big" as in "not fouling the extremities every time you go over
a cat's eye" or "Big" as in "Undriveable because you screwed
with the gearing and because the wheels and tyres cost you £800
you aren't telling your mates"? TBH, 7.50s as a standard size
are pretty good on a 88". Much bigger than that, you end up just
looking a twat, have really heavy steering, struggle to get into
4th gear, and generally ruin the way it drives. Of course, there
are people that will say "Bigger tyres are best" but.... if
really big rubber was so great, how come LR never offered
it....? Saying that, I have some 9.00s sat here waiting for me
to start my next project!
