Series III Alternator

Gday all. SIII SWB, Had to replace the alternator and found it
was a Bosch 90amp retro-fit. The auto electrician says its out
of an old Mitsubishi Magna. It doesn't line up that well on the
mounts but with 2 washers/shims it sits alright. The belt
dosent line up perfectly but that was how it was when I bought
it, the engine alternator mount plate holes are slightly worn on
the front hole. Makes sense as its on the belt tension side.
Is this a well known conversion, to use the magna Bosch 9 120
061 100 alternator? Are there ones that fit better with large
amp output? Anyway it works! Donk.

And always carry a spare belt, because if it doesn't line
perfectly it will wear through and go without warning.

You read my mind Drew. I was thinking that belt will suffer
longer term. Its only a smidge out but its not pleasing to look
down the length of the belt and the alternator pulley looks
slightly skewed which it is. And Mitsubishi...I feel violated
having a Mitsubishi Bosch part there. Ah well 90 amps is a good
thing for accessories. Donk
