S11/111 windscreen question

After driving my brothers S11 over the weekend it took me back
to my old S11 days and thr frustration with the windscreen. Does
anone know why Land Rover chose to take the ecellent tall S1
windscreen and shorten it so that all but the shortest bloke has
to scrunch down just to look forward ?

Used to have Volvo 640 Leather seats in the front of my old 109,
they were deeper than Landy fobs.
Comfy though, with head restraints too and luber support.

I would have the same 'problem' if I bought some new seat bases.
At present, the current ones are so knackered that I don't have
to scrunch. I would like to get some new bases one day and have
toyed with the idea of making some out of a thinner memory foam
to give some more comfort without the height but as yet have
done nothing about it other than look at some link someone
posted regarding glider seating ??? Whoever that was. I'll have
to pop down to my local market and seek out the memory foam/
upholstery stall..........one day! :smilewide: :smilewide:
