Powerlaning - one day next weekend (5/6 Oct.) Yorkshire Wolds

I'm thinking of starting fairly early between York and Malton
and doing as many lanes as we can until stopping to brew up and
have some scoff.
Then we'll do lanes toward the coast, Filey or Scarboro' and
maybe have a bag o' chips on the sea front before going our
seperate ways.
Possible opportunity to pick loads of sloes for those that do
the sloe gin thing, tho I understand they're best picked after
the first frost...
I have the appropriate mappage and a satellite-navigation device
but it would be handy if you can bring your own.
Bring scoff, drink and recovery gear.
If you're scared of scratching the motor then don't bother
putting your name down.
If we have enough winches, ground anchors, waffle boards,
lunatics etc. between us then we could even do the "Darien Gap"
again. :-?
It's not a snidey "PM me" thing but for manageability and so as
not to piss off too many other users of the lanes the group
should be limited to 4 motors (5 including my own) so first
come, first served as regards posting your intention to come.

I'd forget doing the Camel Trophy DMH, Dave.
Only one motor has ever scaled that and it currently resides in
France.

Different other lane, Drew. It's rumoured that this one has
swallowed up several 900-shod 1 tons and the only reason it's at
all drivable by lesser motors is that we'd be driving on top of
them, such are the depths of mud there. The Camel Trophy doesn't
even come into it! ;D

Could do the Saturday but not put the gearbox through it's paces
since tightening the big nut after Gatesgarth, so reluctant to
go Gapping.

Damn you dh the old one is in for mot this weekend . I'd have
loved to do a rerun of Darien gap. Just to stay out of the ditch
this time.
