Anyone fitted a headliner from these? I cant get the price list

On my wish list, last time I looked around £300 for short
wheelbase with delivery.
That was a while ago, looks like being on wish list a long time
unless I have a year when nothing else breaks !

I looked at them but decided not to bother when they said you
had to cut out stuff like the "alpine" windows yourself. I
thought the chance I'd make a cock of it was too high given the
price of the kit.

now you lot got me thinkering about buying a truck cab
headlining.. my roof is a mess ...old glue and etc etc.
but dont like the idea of having those circular things for the
speakers :rolleye0012:

My mates one ton has a full La Salle kit, headlining, door trims
and dashboard. The latter is simply horrid, the door linings
so-so and the headlining is OK. Personally I think it's cheaper
to track down a station wagon roof which is the route I took
with the 109. 26 quid later, headlining. ;-)

^^^^ True enough - another thing that put me off was having
"LaSalle" in bloody great letters moulded into various bits. In
the end I bought some dark green hardura ( felt backed vinyl)
thats the same stuff LR covered seatboxes with and lined the
roof with that. Certainly cut down the noise a good bit and
stopped the roof "drumming" when I drove with a window open -
which I do a lot.

I have the truck cab lining in Pickles, I think it's excellent!
The CD player and speakers are fitted in it.
It was not designed for modern ICE as the CD player sticks out
of the hole by about 1/2 an inch, but I covered the shiny bit
with some insulating tape! :rolleye0012:
I have foam insulation between it and the roof, no condensation
and no drumming!
It got some damage when Pickles was rolled, but a little glass
mat and a fresh coat of Limestone, it was as good as new!
I did buy it second hand, it was £50 about 10 years ago!

Had one in a Diesel Series III SWB many years ago - worth every
penny. You will need a few spare hands to fit the thing.
As mentioned before, it leaves enough space to fit a good bit of
soundproofing between the roof and the headlining, and a tidy
method of mounting speakers. Not so sure its a great place for a
radio.
