       Slacken the nut right off and take the pin out all together.
       Then stick the pin in the hole where it goes when you close the
       bonnet. You will be able to see if both the safety catch and the
       locking catch are working. If they are working put it back
       together again and gradaully screw the pin in without locking it
       up untill the bonnet closes without flapping around. Then lock
       the locking nut up.... Job Done...
